Sourcing beef, chicken, and turkey from local, sustainable farms that treat their animals as well as they treat the earth was of the utmost important to us. We are so happy to share that we have partnered with Bone-In Food to provide all of the raw meats for Laika Raw!
Bone-In Food works with small local farmers who use sustainable farming practices, with a focus on maximizing the health of their soil. Their vibrant soils allow animals and vegetables to thrive without the need for antibiotics, hormones, herbicides, or pesticides. To do this, the farmers create an environment that simulates the wild and allows nature to take its course as much as possible.
All of Bone-In Food’s farmers are multi-layered and adhere to a free-range or pastoral grazing practice. The animals graze naturally while rotating between fresh pastures and the surrounding woodlands. In the Winter they are fed a non-gmo grain, organic vegetable, and/or hay mix. They forage widely, which naturally aerates and fertilizes the soils. This practice creates the healthiest and richest soil conditions for vegetables to grow until harvest without the use of treatments.
